It started with a desire to serve God by lending a helping hand to other people. The vision for the project had been in the heart of Pastor Funmi Afolabi for a long time but God allowed to come to fruition by a simple call from a friend who is a senior citizen. This lovely lady had some food to give out and asked if we know people who needed it in our ministry. Because we are yet to start a food pantry in our ministry, we asked around and Funmi's mentor, Bishop Addie Robb who organizes food and clothes drive, told her about the needs of some senior citizen and some other people. Somehow, The Lord opened the door for some funds, so we gave the food and some other items to the people. That year, ProjectMatthew25 was incorporated and we were able to bless some people who were in need of some basic things during the Christmas season. Since then, the project has being instrumental to paying the school fees of some children in Nigeria, Africa, even up to college level. The need is so great that our resources right now is not nearly enough. There are lots of indigent students that we are trusting The Lord that the project can come to their aid for tuition, books, clothes, and other things in the new academic session. We are hopeful and we believe that The Lord will come through for us. We trust God as our source to be able to be a blessing to the fast growing number of people we have to help. > "For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in..." > — Matthew 25:35
The vision of The Project is to reach out and be a blessing to people and children in need, as well as people facing the challenges of housing insecurities, regardless of race or religion. Where there is a legitimate need, which includes but is not limited to children who have lost one or both parents as a result of religious or civil unrest, people suffering from a terminal illness, whose families are unable to provide for their needs adequately, people who have experienced losses as a result of a natural disaster or some other form of tragedy that has been identified by the executive, staff, and volunteers of The Project, efforts shall be made to do whatever is reasonable in the circumstances depending on the available funds to help those in need.

Our Program Areas

Our senior support program provides assistance to elderly individuals facing financial hardship, isolation, or health challenges. We offer meal delivery, companionship visits, and help with essential needs to ensure our senior community members can age with dignity and comfort.
When disaster strikes, ProjectMatthew25 mobilizes quickly to provide emergency supplies, temporary shelter, and long-term rebuilding assistance. We work alongside affected communities to help them recover and rebuild stronger than before.
Our outreach to children and families focuses on breaking the cycle of poverty through education support, nutritional assistance, and mentorship. We believe in empowering the next generation with tools and opportunities for a brighter future.
We serve society's most vulnerable populations—those experiencing homelessness, refugees, victims of abuse, and others facing extreme hardship. Our approach focuses on immediate relief while working toward sustainable solutions and advocacy for systemic change.
